Four wins and two draws in the last six games make Brackley the form team in National League North as Gainsborough Trinity are next up at SJP with a 3pm Bank Holiday Monday kick-off.
With three games remaining Brackley can still make the play-offs but this depends on extending the winning run and relying upon results elsewhere. With a full programme of games on Monday there is sure to be plenty of drama, twists and turns.
Gaz Dean, with his fourth goal of the season, and Jimmy Armson, with his 22nd goal, secured Saturday’s win at Broadhurst Park adding FC United to a growing list of teams over which Saints have won home and away this season.
Kevin Wilkin will have a full squad to select from ahead of the visit of Dave Frecklington’s Trinity team.
Gainsborough are currently locked together on equal points with Worcester City for the last relegation spot with Stalybridge Celtic also in contention with just Altrincham the only side confirmed for the drop so far. For Altrincham it is a second successive relegation.
Trinity have lost their last five games on the road but finally picked up a home win on Good Friday beating highly fancied Salford City at Northolme in a surprise result. So Gainsborough will arrive at SJP buoyed by the win but desperate to collect further points to lift themselves above the drop zone.
If you cannot get to Monday’s game you can follow the action on the club’s website via the Twitter-feed and through updates throughout the afternoon on BBC Radio Oxford and BBC Radio Northampton.
