Brackley travel north on the season’s longest journey on Saturday. The 400 mile round trip to Darlington is Saints’ first ever visit to the North-East. The trip is at least a little shorter than it may otherwise have been, Darlington having moved back to their home town mid-way through this season after exile 12 miles further north in Bishop Auckland!
Darlington are currently 7th in the league table, 5 points ahead of 9th placed Brackley having played one game more, with a strong away record but two defeats in the last three matches at home.
When the sides met at SJP earlier in the season they played out a game of high quality with honours even at 2-2, Gareth Dean and Shane Byrne netting for Brackley.
Brackley continued the sequence of Tuesday evening games travelling to Kettering in midweek slipping out of the Hillier Senior Cup 1-0. After last Saturday’s narrow defeat against Salford City Saints will be eager to get back to winning ways and a clash against rivals for a top-spot is the ideal fixture.
If you cannot get to the match follow it through the club website twitter feed and through pre-match, half-time and full-time reports on BBC Radio Oxford.
